WE ARE THE WILD

We Are The Wild is a new collection of works by Australian artist Kylie Sams. An abstract, nature inspired series, it explores the balance of energy and calm through expressive, gestural forms, with subtle references to landscape and botanical elements emerging throughout. The work shifts in perspective, almost as if magnified at different scales, from expansive landscapes to details that feel close and immediate, inviting a sense of curiosity, play and discovery.

A continued exploration of shifting energy runs through the work, a thread at the heart of my practice, where intense movement softens into calm, and variations in layered depth, light and shadow create a sense of intrigue that unfolds over time.
